Common Questions

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you cannot find what you are looking for, use the contact form above and we will be happy to help.

Do you deliver potatoes to homes and restaurants?

We currently deliver across the Munster region, covering Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford. For home customers, we offer 5kg, 10kg, and 25kg bags with delivery on Thursdays. Restaurants and wholesale customers receive deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays. There is a minimum order of 10kg for delivery. Alternatively, you can collect directly from the farm or find us at the Midleton and Bandon farmers' markets during the season.

Can I visit the farm?

We welcome visitors by appointment. Farm tours run from May through September, usually on Saturday mornings. During a visit you will walk through the potato fields, learn about our heritage varieties and growing methods, and have the chance to pick up freshly dug potatoes to take home. We ask that you book at least one week in advance by phone or through the contact form, so we can make sure someone is available to show you around properly.

What potato varieties are available right now?

Availability changes with the seasons. Our earliest variety, Queens, arrives in mid-July. British Queen and Roosters follow in August and September. Kerr's Pink is typically the last to harvest, coming in during October and November. We store main-crop potatoes carefully through the winter months, so Roosters and Kerr's Pink are generally available until February or March. For current availability, give us a ring or send a message and we will let you know exactly what is in stock.

Are your potatoes organic?

We follow traditional, low-input farming practices that prioritise soil health and biodiversity. We use composted farmyard manure, crop rotation, and minimal chemical intervention. However, we do not hold formal organic certification at this time. We are transparent about our methods and welcome questions about how we grow each variety. If organic certification is important to you, we are happy to discuss exactly what inputs we use so you can make an informed decision.

What are your wholesale terms?

Wholesale pricing is available for restaurants, shops, and caterers placing regular orders of 50kg or more per week. We offer consistent supply throughout the growing and storage season, with flexible delivery schedules across Munster. Pricing depends on variety, volume, and delivery frequency. Please use the contact form and select "Wholesale Enquiry" as your subject, or ring us directly to discuss your needs. We are always happy to provide samples so you can try before you commit.
